Mike – Technician
Mike joined the Marine Corps in 1980, and attended many mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schools. Mike spent ten years in the Marine Corps. Many people do not know that the Marine Corps has fighter jets, helicopters, and other types of aircrafts. Mike worked on the tow trucks, generators, and air conditioner units in support of those aircrafts.
Mike left the Marines in 1990. He was offered a job in Memphis, Tennessee to work for a man who owned multiple full-service gas stations. Mike was able to put the skills he had learned in the Marines to use working for Mr. Holt. He performed all levels of repairs. As a mechanic, Mike has moved to many different places throughout the country, finally ending up back home in Maine in 2013. Mike has worked for Central Park Garage for the past 4 years. In total, Mike has over forty years of experience working on various cars, trucks, and military gear.
Mike has always known that he wanted to be some sort of mechanic, as he took great interest in taking things apart and determining what makes them work. Even now, Mike finds enjoyment from learning new things about cars and trucks. He is amazed at how quickly technology is advancing. One of his favorite aspects of the business is the variety of items there are to work on, there is always something new or different to work on, figure out, and learn from.
